Reliability Analysis

The final stage is to assess the reliability of the scales used. We have used the DASS-21 and Rosenberg's Self Esteem scales for our research.

DASS-21 contains 3 subscales - Depression, Anxiety, and Stress. We have used the total instead of the individual subscales in our study. However, for reliability assessment, we need to assess the total, as well as the subscales.

The DASS-21 was used to measure students' mental health, more specifically emotional disturbance. A total of 40 students at the International Islamic University Malaysia answered this scale, which consisted of 21 items. The Cronbach's alpha for these 21 items was 0.915, indicating an excellent reliability.

The Cronbach's alphas for the 7 items under Depression, Anxiety, and Stress were 0.867, 0.792, and 0.752, respectively.

The Rosenberg's Self Esteem scale was used to measure students' self esteem. A total of 40 students at the International Islamic University Malaysia answered this scale, which consisted of 10 items. The Cronbach's alpha for these 10 items was 0.890, indicating a good reliability.
